It was 1993 in Las Vegas, and Luxor, Treasure Island, and MGM Grand opened on the strip. Brothers Sam and Alan Popowcer began ESPEEZ candy on the back of 5 years of success selling sundries to Vegas convenience stores. Mom Arlene and Dad Bob got involved pretty soon thereafter to help with operations, and in 2003, Fred Scharar, a good buddy of the family, got involved too.
Pop It Like It’s Hot
So, you could either suck on a cube pop that’s like a tiny block of sweet candy goodness, or you could go for jaw breakers on a stick that look like colorful sugary planets, or tickle the kids’ fancy with teddy bear lollipops. The individually wrapped pieces are all handmade the old-fashioned way, with all sorts of crazy unique flavors like huckleberry and pina colada!
